Long battery life, short response time

The optical design of this innovative infrared gas detector includes proprietary MEMS (Micro Electromechanical System) components, which make possible the ultra-low power consumption of 5 mW. This means that, depending on the ambient conditions, the Polytron 6700 IR WL will run continuously for 48 months without the batteries needing to be replaced. Its outstanding battery life is offered along with a five-second sensor response time, as required for safety applications.

Cost-effective in maintenance

The intrinsically safe design of the wireless gas detector allows for all maintenance work, such as battery replacement, to be carried out in the hazardous area. There is no need to take any additional measures, such as declassifying the area. Furthermore, the long-term stable sensor technology eliminates the need for recalibration. The PolySoft software lets you conveniently access the Polytron 6700 IR WL via the Bluetooth® service interface – using an explosion-proof tablet, laptop, or desktop PC in the workshop. The detector data, measured values, event log can be easily downloaded into a file and analysed if required.

Choose your radio standard: ISA100 WirelessTM or WirelessHART®

You can choose between two radio standards depending on your needs. The industrial radio standard ISA100 WirelessTM ensures the safe transmission of the measured values. Together with the PROFIsafe protocol, it provides the SIL2 capability for your system. The widely used, secure wireless standard WirelessHART® offers you the flexibility to easily integrate the transmitters into an existing WirelessHART® network. The WirelessHART® transmitter is tested, certified, and listed by the FieldComm GroupTM.
