Multi gas X-am 8000 Carcinogenic substances
Threshold limits for carcinogenic sustances are decreasing worldwide (e.g. Europe: EU Directive 89/391/EEC). The leading substance is Benzene. Only few cost effective, sensitive and reliable detection methodes are available.
Dräger offers different products for the detection of carcinogenic substances ranging from Dräger Tubes to specific PID sensors. This is an important differentiator against competition and helps to offer customers tailored solutions / measurement strategies.The PID sensors of X-am 8000 are a key products in that respect.
Laboratory analysis is an option for selective measurement but very slow and expensive.

How does the X-am 8000 support this application?
All-in-one instrument: Multigas detector with PID and pre-tube option for Benzene specific measurement
Reduce customer effort: only 1 instrument to purchase / service / transport / etc.
Exposition documentation for carcinogenic substances can be ensured with X-dock / X-dock Manager.
Add Organic Vapor XXS sensors where possible: long calibration interval, lower cost, higher robustness/stability
The X-am 8000 can replace (single) PID scanners in this application.

0 – 1000 ppm (benzene)
PID LC ppb 0 – 10 ppm (isobutene), lower, limit: 0,05 ppm
0 – 8 ppm (benzene)
Wizard for use of pre-tube (PID sensor only active):
Benzene: specific measurement with PID
Humidity: eliminate humidity effect to PID
Gas libary: change between gases for PID in the X-am 8000 menu (libary: > 20 gases, 10 customer defined gases)
